A dedicated and compassionate law enforcement veteran, Jimmy Evans is a native Texan who was raised with a strong emphasis on family values, trust, integrity, and community service. With over three decades of experience in law enforcement, Jimmy's journey began in 1992 when he started his career as a police officer with the Fort Bend County Constable Precinct 2 Office. The following year, he continued his service with the Houston Metro Transit Police Department, further honing his skills and commitment to public safety.


Throughout his career, Jimmy has been a strong advocate of the Community-Oriented Policing philosophy, firmly believing in the importance of fostering a genuine relationship between law enforcement and the communities they serve. His outreach efforts and dedication to community service have been recognized with several awards, highlighting his outstanding commitment to making a difference.


In January 2021, Jimmy was appointed as the Chief Deputy of the Fort Bend County Constable Precinct 3. In this role, he oversees the overall operation of the office, including administration, courts, patrol, civil, and the warrant divisions. His extensive experience in law enforcement, which spans over 12 years as a police supervisor, Captain, Lieutenant (retired in 2020), and Sergeant, has equipped him with invaluable insights into various divisions, such as Patrol, Special Operations, Narcotics, Traffic Enforcement, Community Liaison, Bicycle Patrol, and Training.

Working in partnership with local, state and federal public safety organizations Jimmy Evans uses his knowledge, experience and skills to improve the quality of life for all in Fort Bend County.
