James Leuenberger
James Leuenberger was a 2014Constitution Party candidate who sought election to theU.S. Senate fromOregon.[1] He was defeated by incumbentJeff Merkley (D) in the general election on November 4, 2014.[2]
Leuenberger was aLibertarian candidate forOregon attorney general in the2012 elections.[3]
Biography
Leuenberger received his bachelor's degree in finance from Arizona State University and his law degree from the University of Idaho. After graduating from law school, he spent five years as a banker. He was a clerk on the Idaho Court of Appeals from 1987-1989, after which he was appointed DeputyAttorney General of Idaho. He served in that position until 1991, and then he segued back into private sector work as an attorney.[4]
