Judicial nominations and appointments
Ninth Circuit
Anderson was nominated to the Ninth Circuit by PresidentGerald Ford on June 18, 1976, to a seat vacated byMontgomery Oliver Koelsch; he was confirmed by the Senate on July 2, 1976, and received commissionthat same day. He served the Ninth Circuit until his death onApril 16, 1988.[1]
District of Idaho
Anderson was nominated to the District of Idaho by PresidentRichard Nixon on December 1, 1971, to a seat vacated byFredrick Taylor; he was confirmed by the Senate on December 4, 1971, and received commission onDecember 9, 1971. He served the District of Idaho until he was elevated to the Ninth Circuit on July 23, 1976.[1] Anderson was succeeded in this position byMarion Callister.
