TheIndiana Formation of a Militia, Amendment 3, also known asAmendment 3, was on the ballot inIndiana onNovember 5, 1974, as alegislatively referred constitutional amendment. It wasapproved. The amendment proposed that the state constitution be amended to provide that the militia consist of all persons over the age of 17 (except those persons exempted by law), that the militia be divided into active and inactive classes, and that certain other specified changes be made concerning the militia.^[1]
