Halsted Lockwood Ritter
Halsted Lockwood Ritter (1868-1951) was afederal judge on theUnited States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
He was nominated by PresidentCalvin Coolidge on January 23, 1929, to replaceRhydon Mays Call. He was confirmed by the Senate onFebruary 15, 1929, and received commission that same day. He served untilApril 17, 1936, when he was impeached and convicted. Ritter died on October 15, 1951.
