Ballot title

The ballot title for Amendment 3 was as follows:

FOR ratification of Amendment to Paragraph 7, Section 2, of Article 7, of the Constitution providing that the exemption from taxation of the homestead of residents shall not apply on the County of Irwin as against levies of taxes for school purposes by the County Board of Irwin.

AGAINST ratification of Amendment to Paragraph 7, Section 2, of Article 7, of the Constitution providing that the exemption from taxation of the homestead of residents shall not apply on the County of Irwin as against levies of taxes for school purposes by the County Board of Irwin.

Atwo-thirds (66.67%) vote is required during one legislative session for theGeorgia State Legislature to place an amendment on the ballot.
