Frederick Voris Follmer (1885-1971) was afederal judge on theUnited States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, theEastern District of Pennsylvania, and theWestern District of Pennsylvania.

Follmer was nominated by PresidentHarry Truman on July 31, 1946, to a new seat created by 60 Stat. 654; he was confirmed by the Senate on July 31, 1946, and received commission onAugust 7. From the date of his commission untilJune 1, 1955, he served simultaneously on each of Pennsylvania's three District Courts (Eastern, Middle, and Western). In 1955, other judges were appointed to fill his seats on the Eastern and Western District Courts, and thereafter, until his death, he served only the Middle District.[1] He served a brief stint aschief judge during 1962. He assumedsenior status onDecember 30, 1967, and served in that capacity until his death onMay 3, 1971.
