Erica Lynn Groshen was the commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). She wasconfirmed by theU.S. Senate on January 2, 2013, by voice vote.[1]

Groshen served in the Federal Reserve Bank ofNew York for nearly 20 years before being nominated to the BLS in February 2012.[2]

Groshen graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison before earning her master's and Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University.[3]
