Dudley Bonsal
Dudley Baldwin Bonsal (1906-1995) was afederal judge on theUnited States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Bonsal received a recess appointment from PresidentJohn F. Kennedy on October 5, 1961, to a new seat created by 75 Stat. 80. He was then nominated on January 15, 1962, confirmed by the Senate on March 16, and received his commission onMarch 17th. Bonsal was succeeded in this position byPierre Leval. He assumedsenior status onDecember 6, 1976, and served in that position until his death onJuly 22, 1995.[1]
