Delmas Hill
Delmas Carl Hill was afederal judge on theUnited States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit. He joined the court in 1961 after being nominated by PresidentJohn F. Kennedy.[1] Hill died on December 2nd, 1989.

Judicial nominations and appointments
Tenth Circuit
Hill was nominated to theTenth Circuit by PresidentJohn F. Kennedy on September 14, 1961, to a new seat created by 75 Stat. 80. He was confirmed by the Senate on September 21, 1961, and received his commission onSeptember 22nd. He assumedsenior status onApril 1, 1977, and served in that capacity until his death onDecember 2, 1989.[1]
District of Kansas
Hill received arecess appointment to theUnited States District Court for the District of Kansas from PresidentHarry Truman on October 21, 1949, to a new seat created by 63 Stat. 493. He was nominated on January 5, 1950, confirmed by the Senate on March 8, 1950, and received his commission onMarch 9th. He served aschief judge from 1957 until leaving for the Tenth Circuit Court of AppealsSeptember 28, 1961.[1] Hill was succeeded in this position by JudgeWesley Brown.
