David Vaudt is the formerRepublicanIowa Auditor of State. He was first elected in 2002 and has been re-elected twice. His current term was set to expire in 2014, however Vaudt[1] announced on April 4, 2013 that he would be resigning as Auditor on May 3 in order to become chairman of the Governmental Accounting Standards Board.[2]

Biography

Vaudt worked as an accountant/partner at KPMG from 1976-2001. He served as Chair of the Iowa Accountancy Examining Board from 1995-2002, and has been on the Board of Directors of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy.[3]
