David Patterson Dyer (1838-1924) was afederal judge on theUnited States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.

He was nominated by PresidentTheodore Roosevelt on February 27, 1907 to replaceGustavus Adolphus Finkelnburg. He was confirmed by the Senate onMarch 1, 1907, and received commission that same day. He assumedsenior status onNovember 3, 1919. He served until his death onApril 29, 1924. Dyer was succeeded in this position byCharles Breckenridge Faris.
