David M. Borden (Connecticut)
David M. Borden was a justice of theConnecticut Supreme Court. He was appointed to that court by Democratic Gov. William O'Neill and served from 1990 until he reached the mandatory retirement age of 70 in 2007. He then served as ajudge trial referee for theAppellate Court inHartford County,Connecticut.[1][2][3] Borden served as acting chief justice of the court from April 15, 2006, to April 24, 2007.[4]
Borden previously served as one of the original judges of theConnecticut Appellate Court after that court was first constituted.
Justice Borden died on August 7, 2016, after a battle with cancer.
Education
Justice Borden received his B.A.magna cum laude from Amherst College in 1959 and hisJ.D. from Harvard Law School in 1962.[4]
