Daniel Friedman
Daniel Mortimer Friedman (1916 - 2011) was a federal judge on theUnited States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He served until his death onJuly 6, 2011. He was formerly a judge on theUnited States Court of Claims.[1]
Education
Friedman graduated from Columbia University with his bachelor's degree in 1937 and he graduated from Columbia Law with hisBachelor of Laws degree in 1940. Friedman served in the U.S. Army on active duty from 1942 to 1946.[1]

Judicial nominations and appointments
Friedman was nominated to the Court of Claims by PresidentJimmy Carter. He was commissioned aschief judge onMay 17, 1978. Friedman joined theFederal Circuit after being reassigned from the Court of Claims onOctober 1, 1982. He assumedsenior status onNovember 1, 1989 and served until his death onJuly 6, 2011.[2][1]
