Daniel Behrman (unaffiliated) ran for election for President of the United States. He lost as a write-in in the general election onNovember 5, 2024.
Dan Behrman was a Libertarian candidate forpresident of the United States in 2020. He lost at theLibertarian National Convention on May 23, 2020.
Behrman was a2014Libertarian candidate forDistrict 125 of theTexas House of Representatives.[1]

Presidency
TheLibertarian Party selectedJo Jorgensen as its presidential nominee on May 23, 2020, during the Libertarian National Convention.[2]Spike Cohen was selected as the party's vice presidential nominee the next day.[3]
The convention was originally scheduled to take place May 21-25, 2020, inAustin, Texas.[4] Due to thecoronavirus pandemic, the nomination portion of the national convention was held online May 22-24.[5][6]
Prior to the national convention, delegates were selected by state Libertarian affiliates. These delegates choose a party nominee at the convention by majority vote.[7]
Gary Johnson, the 2012 and 2016 Libertarian presidential nominee, said in 2017 that he would not launch a third presidential bid.[8] His running mate,Bill Weld, announced on April 15, 2019, that he was running in theRepublican primary for president.
2014
Elections for all 150 seats in theTexas House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on March 4, 2014. Those candidates who did not receive 50 percent or more of the vote in their party primary on March 4 faced an additional May 27 primary runoff. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. Thesignature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in these elections was December 9, 2013. IncumbentJustin Rodriguez was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Rodriguez defeatedDaniel Behrman (L) in the general election.[9][1][10]
