Dan Bergeron
Dan Bergeron (Democratic Party) is a member of theNew Hampshire House of Representatives, representingHillsborough 16. He assumed office on December 4, 2024. His current term ends on December 2, 2026.
Bergeron is also a member of theManchester Board of School Committee in New Hampshire, representingWard 6. He assumed office on January 2, 2024.
Bergeron ran for re-election to theManchester Board of School Committee to representWard 6 in New Hampshire. He won in the general election onNovember 4, 2025.
Bergeron was appointed to the board by the Manchester Board of Mayor and Aldermen on August 4, 2015, to fill the seat vacated byRobyn M. Dunphy's resignation.[1]
Biography
Dan Bergeron resides inManchester, New Hampshire.[2] Bergeron attended the New Hampshire Technical Institute before he earned both a B.S. in organizational management and an M.S. in applied management from Daniel Webster College.[3]
In his professional career, Bergeron has worked as a small business owner, account manager and software technician. He is employed as a software services specialist and as an adjunct professor at Daniel Webster College's School of Business and Management. Bergeron also previously served as the Ward 6 selectman, the vice chairman of the Manchester Transit Authority Board of Commissioners and as an at-large executive board member of the Manchester Foundation for Education.[3][4]

All 14 seats on theManchester School District Board of School Committee inNew Hampshire were up for general election onNovember 7, 2017. Twelve seats were electedby district and the remaining two were electedat large. All 14 incumbents filed to run for re-election. Primary elections for Wards 6 and 12 were held on September 19, 2017.[5]
IncumbentsRichard Girard andNancy Tessier were the only candidates to file to run for the district's two at-large seats and won re-election. In Ward 1, incumbentSarah S. Ambrogi defeated former candidateJoseph Lachance. IncumbentDebra G. Langton lost to challengerDavid Scannell for the Ward 2 seat. IncumbentMary Ngwanda Georges defeatedPhillip Harris to retain her Ward 3 seat. Ward 4 incumbentLeslie Want defeated former candidateMark Flanders. In Ward 5, former board memberKathy Staub was unsuccessful in her challenge against incumbentLisa M. Beaudry was the only one to file for the Ward 9 seat and won unnopposed in the election. Ward 10 incumbentJohn B. Avard defeated newcomerThomas McGee. Opposition
The election in Manchester featured 14 of the 15 seats on the board up for general election on November 3, 2015. The last seat, held byManchester Mayor Ted Gatsas at the time of the election, was elected separately on the ballot. A primary election was held on September 15, 2015, to narrow down the number of candidates to two per seat in each race for the general election. Wards 1, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 12 held primary elections.
In the Ward 6 race, incumbentDan Bergeron defeated challengerLarraine Lencki for the seat. Fellow challengerBill Hughen lost in the primary election.
Nine board members faced competition in their re-election bids, while another three ran unopposed and won re-election to their seats. The elections in wards 4 and 5 did not feature any incumbents. Neither Ward 4 memberAmy L. Bradley nor Ward 5 memberTed Rokas filed for re-election.
Several rematches from the2013 election took place, including Ward 2 memberDebra G. Langton and challengerSarah L. Browning, Bergeron and Hughen, and Ward 12 memberConstance Van Houten and challengerChristine Duffley. The Ward 12 race also featured former board memberRoger Beauchamp.
