Crystal Peoples-Stokes (Democratic Party) is a member of theNew York State Assembly, representingDistrict 141. She assumed office in 2003. Her current term ends on January 1, 2027.
Peoples-Stokes (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to theNew York State Assembly to representDistrict 141. She won in the general election onNovember 5, 2024.
Peoples-stokes was electedState House Majority Leader in 2018.[1]
Biography
Peoples-Stokes earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from Buffalo State College and her M.S. in Student Personnel Administration from Buffalo State College. Her professional experience includes being regional director for Citizen Action of New York, working as a program coordinator for Saint Augustine Center and a job developer for Buffalo Urban League.[2] Peoples-Stokes' political experience includes being a majority leader for the Erie County Legislature and a Democratic Zone Leader, Zone 26.
