Bernard Moynahan
Bernard Thomas Moynahan, Jr. (1918-1999) was afederal judge on theUnited States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.
Moynahan was nominated to the Eastern District of Kentucky by PresidentJohn F. Kennedy on September 16, 1963, to a seat vacated byHiram Church Ford; he was confirmed by the Senate on November 4, 1963, and received his commission onNovember 8, 1963. From 1969-1984, he served as thechief judge. He assumedsenior status onSeptember 30, 1984. He served the Eastern District of Kentucky until his death onSeptember 30, 1999.[1]
