Clark was nominated by PresidentHarry Truman on September 12, 1945, to a seat vacated byThurman Arnold. He was confirmed by the Senate on September 24th, and received his commission onSeptember 28th. OnOctober 10, 1962, he assumedsenior status. He served until his death onJuly 13, 1954.^[1]
