As a liberty-minded conservative, I am an advocate for traditional family values, limited government, and our individual and religious freedoms. I have a heart for people and community service. Having served two combat tours in Afghanistan with the United States Marine Corps, I am the only veteran running in the Republican primary. As your representative, I will work tirelessly to keep our community safe and family friendly for future generations.
  • We are created by God and have been endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights, the first of which is the Right to Life. Every life is valuable, and I am an outspoken advocate for the unborn and for the expectant mothers who are caught in difficult circumstances.
  • The second amendment is the citizen's last line of defense against an oppressive government, and I will NEVER vote for any form of gun control. Red Flag laws are a prime example of legislation being forced on us by the Federal Government and anti-Second Amendment groups. You can count on my NO vote against any law that infringes your constitutional right to keep and bear arms.
  • Taxation beyond the minimal needs of maintaining a functional government is a form of theft. I will work tirelessly to reduce burdensome taxes and will ensure that your tax dollars are spent wisely. I support a repeal of the state grocery tax, which affects working families directly. I will also work toward finding a real solution to the skyrocketing property taxes that are forcing Idahoans out of their homes.
As a post 9/11 veteran, I have had a front row seat to observing the department of veterans affairs in their efforts to treat veterans physical and mental health issues. Veterans are a highly valuable minority in our society, and I will advocate for further improvements to their treatment facilities.

Every American has the right to life, liberty, and property. Ownership of one's self is a founding principle of our Republic and I will work tirelessly to ensure that Government is not infringing on the rights of the free People of Idaho.

I advocate for a limited federal government footprint in Idaho. Idahoans know best how to manage our lands and wildlife, and I will continue to promote State oversight, where citizens are able to influence most effectively.

As Idahoans, we understand that the education of our children is critical to the future of our communities and Republic. I am a strong supporter of School Choice. Families should be supremely involved in their children's education, and the best solutions for education reform come from the families and teachers, who work daily with our youth to prepare them for life beyond graduation.
I admire the founding fathers for their foresight in writing our inspired constitution.
Samuel Adams said it best: "If we continue to be a happy people, that happiness must be assured by the enacting and executing of reasonable and wise laws, expressed in the plainest language, and by establishing such modes of education as tend to inculcate in the minds of youth, the feelings and habits of "piety, religion and morality," and to lead them to the knowledge and love of those truly Republican principles upon which our civil institutions are founded."
The greatest challenge facing Idaho in the next decade will be growth. With the influx of people moving from other states to Idaho in search of a better life, maintaining reasonable taxes and keeping to Idaho's core values will be a primary challenge facing all Idahoans.
An ideal relationship between the Governor and legislature would include open dialogue and a sincerity from the executive to enact the will of the people, within the bounds of the State and United States constitutions.

Scorecards

See also:State legislative scorecards andState legislative scorecards in Idaho

Ascorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
