Barbara Lifton (Democratic Party) was a member of theNew York State Assembly, representingDistrict 125. She assumed office in 2003. She left office on January 1, 2021.
Lifton (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to theNew York State Assembly to representDistrict 125. She won in the general election onNovember 6, 2018.
Lifton has political experience as the treasurer of the 3rd Ward, Ithaca City Democratic Committee and as a member of the Democratic Response Group and the Tompkins County Democratic Committee.
Biography
Lifton earned her B.A. and M.A. in English from the State University of New York at Geneseo.[1] Her professional experience includes serving as chief of staff for New York State Assembly member Marty Luster and working as an English teacher for Ithaca Schools and Geneseo Central School.
