Barbara Hackett
Barbara Kloka Hackett (1928-2018) was afederal judge of theUnited States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Hackett was nominated by PresidentRonald Reagan (R) on February 11, 1986, to a seat vacated byCharles Joiner. She was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on March 27, 1986, and received commission onApril 7, 1986. She assumedsenior status onApril 8, 1997. She served the Eastern District of Michigan until her retirement onMarch 1, 2000.[1] Hackett was succeeded in this position byGeorge Steeh.
Hackett died on December 23, 2018, at the age of 90.[2]
