Ballotpedia's Tuesday Count is on the rise

It's a new month and a new ballot measure count according toBallotpedia's Tuesday Count. This past weekWashington joined 27 other states with measures on the2010 ballot. Additionally, two measures were approved for the ballot inOregon and one inSouth Dakota; bringing the total count to 74. According to theBallot Measure Scorecard five measures remain pending signature verification. The next petition drive deadline isMarch 10, 2010 inNorth Dakota for theJune 8, 2010 statewide ballot.

InMississippi measures are already being reviewed for the2011 statewide ballot. This week thesecretary of state approved the proposedVoter Identification Initiative for theNovember 8, 2011 statewide election. The measure, if approved by voters, would require Voter ID at election polls.

  • Oregon Measure 69 - authorizes the state to incur indebtedness for the benefit of higher education
