This is aresearch page for collecting information to track the number ofinitiatives filed in each of thestates with an initiative or referendum. This page is updated on the first business day of each month of 2022 through August and lists the number of proposed initiatives as of the first day of the month.

This pagedoes count:

  • Initiatives that were filed in states with a rolling petition deadline that might still qualify for the 2022 ballot.[1]
  • Multiple versions of what appears to be basically the same initiative.[2]
  • Initiatives that have already qualified for a 2022 ballot.
