Arthur Stanley
Arthur Jehu Stanley, Jr. (1901-2001) was afederal judge on theUnited States District Court for the District of Kansas.
Stanley was nominated by PresidentDwight Eisenhower on June 25, 1958, to a seat vacated byArthur Mellott; he was confirmed by the Senate on July 3, 1958, and received his commission onJuly 7th. He served aschief judge from 1961 until he assumedsenior status onApril 1, 1971. He served in this capacity until his death onJanuary 27, 2001.[1] Stanley was succeeded in this position byEarl O'Connor.
