I am a retired school psychologist with a 20+ career in public schools, a mom of three children in public schools, and a public servant who is ready to listen to, advocate for, and represent my neighbors.

My legislative priorities for 2025 include: - common sense gun reform to protect schools and children;- revising Tennessee's complete abortion ban to include exceptions for rape, incest, life of the mother, and reproductive future of the mother;- strengthening state-level support and funding for Tennessee public schools and teachers;- expanding state-level support for medical and mental healthcare access and options; and- improving state and local collaborations to support small businesses and protect our local green spaces, waterways, and neighborhoods from aggressive development.

BUT...those are not the only issues I will work for! My number one goal when elected is to REPRESENT my community: to actively seek input, consider that input thoughtfully, and advocate for our shared good. My concerns might not be your concerns, but that doesn't mean your concerns aren't important--and my job is to listen to and work for ALL of us.
  • I will be a true REPRESENTATIVE: listen to your concerns, bring solutions, and advocate for our community.
  • I have the proven experience needed to build consensus in diverse teams, full of members with different agendas, for the best solutions.
  • I will use my expertise in mental health, education, government bureaucracies, team building, research, communication, advocacy, data-based decision-making, and LISTENING to bring meaningful successes to District 14.
Education, healthcare, student and veteran mental health, public safety, state-supported local infrastructure and environmental improvement projects
Actively seeking input from my community about issues affecting US and THEM (not just ME), thoughtfully considering and researching all viewpoints and concerns, data-based decision-making, and advocating for my community
I started helping my grandfather bale hay seasonally at age 8, but I don't remember getting paid! I then started paid babysitting at 11, which I did for many families throughout high school and college, including repeat regular summer "nanny" gigs; the first place I drove to immediately after passing my driver's test at 16 was straight to my job as a summer nanny! Also throughout high school I often helped a family friend with his various food trucks during local civic events. But my first "official" paid job was with Blockbuster Video, starting at age 18 right after graduating high school, and continuing during college breaks for several years.
Honestly? The Burger King jingle: "BEEEE KAYYY, have it your way, you RULE!"
Education, healthcare, community projects
