Albert Wheeler Coffrin (December 21, 1919-January 13, 1993) was afederal judge on theUnited States District Court for the District of Vermont.[1]

Judicial nominations and appointments

District of Vermont

Coffrin was nominated to theDistrict of Vermont byRichard M. Nixon onMay 3, 1972 to the seat vacated byBernard J. Leddy. The U.S. Senate confirmed him on June 8, 1972, and he was commissioned to the courtthe next day. Coffin was theChief Judge of the District of Vermont for five years, from 1983-1988. He assumedsenior status onJanuary 31, 1989 and his service terminated onJanuary 13, 1993 when he died. Coffrin was succeeded in this position byFred Parker.[1]
