Alan Shilepsky (Republican Party) ran for election to theMinnesota House of Representatives to representDistrict 59B. He lost in the general election onNovember 3, 2020.

Shilepsky was a 2006Republican candidate for theMinnesota House of Representatives District 58B. He was defeated in the general election onNovember 7, 2006.

Shilepsky was unsuccessful in his bid for the Ward 7 seat on theMinneapolis City Council in 1993 and as aReform Party candidate forMinnesota Secretary of State in 1998.

Biography

Shilepsky is from Westport, Connecticut. He earned a bachelor's degree in physics from Tufts University. His professional experience includes working for the Minnesota State Planning Agency, the U.S. General Accounting Office, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.[1] Previously, Shilepsky identified as aDemocrat and worked on campaigns for candidates Gene McCarthy (1968), Paul Tsongas, andBill Clinton (1992). He joined the MinnesotaIndependence Party in 1995 and later joined theRepublican Party.[2]
