TheAlabama Municipal School Tax, Amendment 19, also known asAmendment 19, was on the ballot inAlabama onDecember 9, 1969, as alegislatively referred constitutional amendment. It wasapproved. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed that the city of Oneonta would be authorized to levy and collect a district school tax of 10 mills on taxable property within the city. The revenue from the tax would be used to fund public schools. The above must be first approved by a majority of electors.[1]
