A downloadable game for Windows
Tiny first-person Zelda-like with a resolution of just 64x64 pixels.
The third game in theLegend of Xenia series, it's a sort of reimagining of the first game but now in 3D!
A young girl wakes up on a beach, with no memories of how she got there. Explore the island, meet new friends, fight baddies, and learn the truth about who you are!
Made in 2 weeks for LOWREZJAM 2018 where 64x64 resolution was a requirement, stop complaining about the resolution 😅 — if you feel your eyes burning: try playing in a smaller window; try the new anti-aliasing option; or use the secret hi-res mode (H+I+Enter) :P
I had a lot of cool ideas that I wanted to do, but didn't have time for during the jam. I wanted to update the game post-jam but never did, probably never will.

when the first gate opens(and i assume the other ones too), if you time it just right, jump onto the closing gate and then immediatly onto the shelf you can skip the other two gates. I dont know if this is a intentional developer backdoor or a actual bug, but it just lets you skip the whole game. Other than that, really fun game!
Everything except rumble works on Dualshock 4 when I try it (both wired or via Bluetooth), so I don't know what to tell you... 🤔
Are you running some third-party drivers like DS4Windows or the Steam Big Picture controller setup? If so, maybe try disabling them?
Or maybe try plugging the controller in at different times, like while the game isn't running, or while the game is running, see if that makes a difference?
I love this--Mostly.
It's got the classic Zelda feel it seems like it was going for down pat. It's got a good use of resources in enemy designs, making the three slimes feel distinct in behavior and I do love that skull guy. The overall area map is well done and thought out. I'm into this. This is my Jam with a capital J.
My only real critique going forward is to be very careful with that low-rez effect. I played through to the end with it on and was enjoying myself, but finding a creeping nausea as I continued onward. I'm not normally someone who suffers from simulation sickness--I usually have to dip into VR before I start having that, but it was there and it was undeniable. I also experienced some issues with staying oriented, but I'm not entirely sure that wasn't to design. After reaching the end and learning how to turn it off, I was actually kind of shocked; this game is pretty. Your textures look great and I felt like a lot of the models actually felt like they had even more character without it. I respect the developer's creative decision to use the filter, but I hope going forward they'll consider tweaking it so it's less severe or even giving the user the ability to shut it off up front via a menu.
Even with that though? Full marks, especially for a gam jam entry. I love it and hope to see more soon!
super cool game, i wish it had more gameplay. also a boss battle at the end would be perfect. you should add more swords and spells. maybe equip 1 spell at a time but two wepons at the same time. that would give you more attack speed. Armor should be a part of this game too. Chapters with differend bosses and mini-bosses, potions should be a think while keeing the game good and simple
