Sir Arthur C Clarke Memorial Challenge Trophy


Sir Arthur C Clarke Challenge trophy is the major event of Anandian Astronomical Association as well as every school based astronomical societies in Sri LankaThis event is the biggest quiz competition in Sri Lanka and more than 25 schools are represent this event annually. Anandian Astronomical Association organizing the competition since 2001 and it is the 1st challenge trophy in Sri Lanka. This quiz competition named as the great American scientist and honorable Sri Lankan citizen; Sir Arthur C Clarke to respect him and his concepts and he also participated to this event as the chief guest in year 2003.

  1. I was in Grade 8 at that time… Still I can remember how we organized the first inter school Astronomy Quiz competition of Sri Lanka. If I’m correct there were students from 57 schools around the island.

    To be honest, this is the beginning of my event management career. Even though I’m 13 years old… so proud to tell that I’m the one who in charge of printing certificates over here. he he! 🙂
