InARK: Survival Evolved, variousAttributes can be leveled up to make your characters and dinos stronger. As you progress through the game, you will gainexperience by doing various things such as harvesting, crafting, and hunting. When you receive enough experience tolevel up, you will receive a point to be spent on yourSurvivor's stats.

Detail[]

Health is a representation of your current life value. If your health reaches 0, you are dead. When your health is at or below 30 HP, your character becomes Injured, and will move much slower. You will have to regenerate your health by eating Cooked Meat, using consumables like Blood Pack or Medical Brew, or through natural regeneration in order to regain normal functionality. Being attacked, falling, drowning, and extremeTemperatures can all lower your health. Putting a skill point into Health will increase your maximum health by 10.

Stamina is a representation of how much energy you have. Actions such as running, jumping, swimming, harvesting resources, and attacking will all drain your Stamina. Water level drops faster when Stamina is being consumed, and so does Food while Stamina is being regenerated. Putting a point into Stamina will increase your maximum Stamina by 10.

Oxygen is a measure of how long you can hold your breath while underwater. It also affects how fast you can move in the water. Submerging yourself in water will drain your Oxygen over time. If you run out of Oxygen, you will begin toSuffocate and your Health will be drained rapidly until you either surface or die. Putting a point into Oxygen will increase your maximum Oxygen by 20.

Food is a representation of how fed you currently are. You will gradually become more hungry over time, but actions that consume Stamina or regain Health also drain your food. The more thermally insulated your character is will reduce your consumption rate. If your character is Cold and/or Injured, they will become hungry faster. If your Food reaches 0, you will Starve, draining your Health at approximately 1 hp per 5 seconds, and gradually increasing Torpidity. Food can be restored by eating Berries, Meat, Crops, Jerky, Eggs, or Custom Consumables. Putting a point into Food increases your maximum Food by 10.

Water is a measure of how hydrated you are. Your water levels naturally decrease over time, but actions that consume Stamina will also drain your water. If you are Hot or sprint, you will become thirsty faster. Eating Stimberries or Auric Mushroom (Aberration) will also cause a rapid decline in water levels. If your Water reaches 0.0, you will become Dehydrated, draining your Health at approximately 1 hp per 5 seconds, and gradually increasing Torpidity. You can refill your Water by drinking from a body of water or a Tap, submerging yourself, using a Waterskin, Canteen, Water Jar, Custom Drinks, by standing in water or the rain. Putting a point into Water will increase your maximum Water by 10.

Weight is a measure of how much you are carrying. Every item has a weight value, and if the total weight value of everything you are carrying becomes too great, you will slow down or even stop. If your carried weight becomes equal to or greater than about 85% of your total weight, you will become Encumbered, which will slow your movement speed considerably and render you unable to jump. If your carried weight becomes equal to or greater than your total weight, you will be unable to move at all until you drop enough items. Encumbered dinosaurs can not wander to mate.

Furthermore, overfilling inventory with low weight will prevent further items from being placed inside through any method, regardless of the current carry weight capacity. This affects all creatures who can carry inventories, as registered by a black weight icon. (Black weight icon appears larger on survivor than on dino, and both on its portrait and inventory at upper left corner of the said survivor/dino.)

Certain tames have the ability to reduce the weight of specific items. A list can be found inWeight Reduction.

Putting a point into Weight will increase your total weight capacity by 10.

Melee Damage inARK: Survival Evolved is a basic statistic for both players andcreatures. It is a measure of the amount of extra damage dealt when attacking, or yield whenharvestingrenewable resources. Thus, a higher Melee Damage kills creatures and other players, as well as harvestresources, in fewer hits. It also increases the total yield of resources harvested from a renewable resource, and improves the chances of receiving any rare resources.

Base damage depends on the tool or weapon in use, and Melee Damage is a multiplier of this base damage.

Putting a point into Melee Damage for players increases their damage modifier by 5%.

Movement Speed is a measure of how fast you can move. Higher movement speed allows you to get from point A to point B quicker, and use less stamina in the process. Your Weight will also affect your movement speed. If you are carrying too much weight, it will slow you down and even stop you completely. Leveling up movement speed will increase it by 1.5%.

Fortitude is a measure of your resistance to theWeather,Torpidity, andDisease. A higher Fortitude increases your natural Hypothermic and Hyperthermic insulation, reduces rate of defecating near Tyrannosaurus roar, and lessens the effects that you receive from Hypothermia and Hyperthermia. It also gives you resistance to Torpidity-increasing effects such as consumption of Narcotic, hits from Tranquilizer Arrow or Slingshot,Scorpion stings and other Torpidity-inducing attacks from creatures. Each level point spent increases fortitude by 2.

Crafting Skill is a measure of how fast you craft items, and also which quality they have (or in the case of Gacha, dropping high quality loot in the form of Gacha Crystals). Higher crafting skill reduces the amount of time it takes to craft an item, allowing you to craft more items in a shorter amount of time. Since you are slower while crafting, this also reduces the amount of time that you are slowed while crafting on the go. As of thePatch v224.2, crafting speed provides a bonus to the stats of custom food recipes upon cooking them. SeeCustom Consumable for more details. As ofPatch v259.0, Crafting Skill will also improve the Item Quality of items you craft. Each time you craft an itemusing a blueprint, the resulting item will have arandom Crafted Skill Bonus between zero and the maximum possible value, based on your current Crafting Skill. Items crafted from engrams don't get any bonus. Putting a point into Crafting Skill will increase your crafting skill by 10%.

Torpidity is the measure of weariness for aHuman or aCreature. If a Human's Torpidity reaches 50, they will fall unconscious. You cannot do anything while unconscious, and other players can easily move you around, force-feed you more narcotics, take items from your inventory, or simply kill you. Creatures will fall unconscious when their Torpidity reaches its maximum value. Once the Torpidity of an unconscious player or creature reaches 0, they will wake up.

Charge Capacity is an Attribute exclusive toCharge Light Creatures and the Tek Stryder.Charge Capacity takes the place ofStamina in Charge Light Creatures andOxygen in the Tek Stryder. Charge Capacity determines how much Charge Light can be stored inside aCreature.

Charge Regeneration is an Attribute exclusive toCharge Light Creatures.Charge Regeneration takes the place ofOxygen and determines the rate at which Charge Light will regenerate within aCreature.

Charge Emission Range is an Attribute exclusive toCharge Light Creatures.Charge Emission Range takes the place ofMelee Damage and determines the emission range of Charge Light from aCreature.

Energy is an attribute forMechanical Creatures. Mechanical creatures requireEnergy from Element Dust, Element Shard or Element to stay powered. Energy acts in place ofFood.
