Melbourne-based country blues guitarist and harmonica player George Kamikawa makes a bold crossover by marrying his steely licks to the intricate Japanese roots music of Noriko Tadano, notable for having introduced Australian audiences to Japan’s traditional minyo folk songs and original pieces that she performs on the tsugaru shamisen (Japanese banjo).
