Isaac Newton's The Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy translated by Andrew Motte and published in two volumes in 1729 remains the first and only translation of Newton's Philosophia naturalis principia mathematica, which was first published in London in 1687. In some copies Machin's Laws of the moon's motion according to gravity is bound in the first volume, in some cases it is bound in the second volume, and in some cases it is bound in both volumes
