نيو ميتال (Nu Metal) أي الميتال الحديث/الجديد، هو نوع من أنواع موسيقىالميتال، وقد تأصل في أواسط التسعينيات.[2][3][4] أساساً يدمج هذا النوع بين موسيقىالغرنج وموسيقى الميتال البديل (ألتيرناتيف ميتال)، وأنواع أخرى منالهيفي ميتال، خصوصاًالثراش ميتال. من أشهر الفرق التي تعزف نيو ميتال كورن Korn وليمب بيزكيت Limp Bizkitولينكين بارك Linkin Park.
