We present preliminary diameters and albedos for 13511 Main Belt asteroids (MBAs) that were observed during the 3-Band Cryo phase of the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE; after the outer cryogen tank was exhausted) and as part of the NEOWISE Post-Cryo Survey (after the inner cryogen tank was exhausted). With a reduced or complete loss of sensitivity in the two long wavelength channels of WISE, the uncertainty in our fitted diameters and albedos is increased to ∼20% for diameter and ∼40…

Sizes and albedos of Mars-crossing asteroids from WISE/NEOWISE data
- V. Al'i-LagoaM. Delbo’
- 2017
Physics, Environmental Science
Context. Mars-crossing asteroids (MCs) are a dynamically unstable group between the main belt and the near-Earth populations. Characterising the physical properties of a large sample of MCs can help…
MAIN-BELT ASTEROIDS WITH WISE/NEOWISE: NEAR-INFRARED ALBEDOS

The Near-Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (NEOWISE) spacecraft has been conducting a two-band thermal infrared survey to detect and characterize asteroids and comets since its…
Debiasing the NEOWISE Cryogenic Mission Comet Populations
We use NEOWISE data from the four-band and three-band cryogenic phases of the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer mission to constrain size distributions of the comet populations and debias…
A comparative study of infrared asteroid surveys : IRAS, AKARI, and WISE (New Insights into Near-Earth and Main-Belt Asteroids)
We present a comparative study of three infrared asteroid surveys based on the size and albedo data from the Infrared Astronomical Satellite (IRAS), the Japanese infrared satellite AKARI, and the…

The Near-Earth Object Wide-Field Infrared Survey Explorer (NEOWISE) mission continues to detect, track, and characterize minor planets. We present diameters and albedos calculated from observations…
Homogeneous internal structure of CM-like asteroid (41) Daphne
- B. CarryF. VachierA. Zurlo
- 2019
Physics
Context. CM-like asteroids (Ch and Cgh classes) are a major population within the broader C-complex, encompassing about 10% of the mass of the main asteroid belt. Their internal structure has been…
Main-belt comets in the Palomar Transient Factory survey – I. The search for extendedness
- A. WaszczakE. OfekJ. Surace
- 2013
Physics
Cometary activity in main-belt asteroids probes the ice content of these objects and provides clues to the history of volatiles in the inner Solar system. We search the Palomar Transient Factory…
