FCGR3B gene frequencies and FCGR3 variants in a Chinese population from Zhejiang Province

@article{Tong2003FCGR3BGF,  title={FCGR3B gene frequencies and FCGR3 variants in a Chinese population from Zhejiang Province},  author={Yin Tong and Jie Jin and Li-xing Yan and J{\"u}rgen Neppert and Matthias Marget and Brigitte K Flesch},  journal={Annals of Hematology},  year={2003},  volume={82},  pages={574-578},  url={https://api.semanticscholar.org/CorpusID:21478742}}
It is concluded that the FCGR3B*1 gene is more frequent in a Chinese population from Zhejiang Province than the FC GR 3B*2 gene, and the FCgr3B-3 gene seems to be absent, which is in contrast to studies in the white populations.

Variability at the FCGR locus: characterization in Black South Africans and evidence for ethnic variation in and out of Africa

Alignment distribution and linkage disequilibrium in Africans and Caucasians differed in a manner that would suggest a differentially maintained balance of FcγR-mediated cell activation in these populations, highlighting further ethnic variation at the FCGR gene locus.

NA1/NA2 heterozygote of Fcgr3b is a risk factor for progression of IgA nephropathy in Chinese

It was found that the genotype frequency of Fcgr3b heterozygote NA1/NA2 in IgAN patients in Chinese significantly higher than that of healthy donors, which is a risk factor for progression of IgA nephropathy in Chinese.

The association of Fcgamma receptor IIIb genetic polymorphism and susceptibility to periodontitis in Taiwanese individuals.

The results of the present study suggest that subjects carrying at least one copy of the FcgammaRIIIb-NA2 allele might be associated with susceptibility to AgP, however, the clinical implications of this polymorphism should be determined by further studies.

Fc Gamma Receptor IIIB (FcγRIIIB) Polymorphisms Are Associated with Clinical Malaria in Ghanaian Children

The present study is the first to report an association between a variant of F cγRIIIB-NA2 and susceptibility to clinical malaria and provides justification for further functional characterization of variants of the classical FcγR IIIB allotypes.

Nonclassical FCGR2C haplotype is associated with protection from red blood cell alloimmunization in sickle cell disease.

SCD patients with the FCGR2Cnc-ORF polymorphism have over a 3-fold lower risk for RBC alloimmunization in comparison with patients without this mutation, and this protective effect was strongest for exposure to antigen other than the immunogenic Rh or K antigens.

Fc gamma receptor IIIb polymorphism and systemic lupus erythematosus: association with disease susceptibility and identification of a novel FCGR3B*01 variant

Investigation of the association between Fc gamma receptor IIIb polymorphism and susceptibility to systemic lupus erythematosus and clinical traits of the disease found no association was found between FCGR3B genotypes and clinical manifestations, disease severity or the presence of autoantibodies.

FCGR3B*03 allele inheritance pattern in Brazilian families and some new variants of gene FCGR3B

The objective of this study was to identify the inheritance pattern of the FCGR3B*03 allele in Brazilian patients with FcyRIIIb receptor for immunoglobulin G.

Human platelet alloantigen systems in three Chinese ethnic populations

HPA gene frequencies for Chinese Han were found to be similar to those of She, reflecting the historic affinities of these two populations, and Tajik gene frequencies were closer to those for Caucasians than to Chinese Han, She, or other Asian populations, reflecting their disparate origin and historic geographic isolation.

Are Fc Gamma Receptor Polymorphisms Important in HIV-1 Infection Outcomes and Latent Reservoir Size?

The current evidence on the potential role played by FcγR polymorphisms in HIV-1 infection, treatment and vaccine trial outcomes is discussed and contrasting findings are highlighted that may be due to multiple factors and the relatively limited data from African populations.

Characterization of a New Alloantigen (SH) on the Human Neutrophil Fcγreceptor IIIb

The findings show the existence of an additional polymorphism of the FcγRIIIb, which can result in alloantibody formation causing alloimmune neonatal neutropenia.

The granulocyte antigens HNA-1a, -1b, and -1c (formerly named NA1, NA2 and SH) play a major role in immune neutropenias and pulmonary transfusion reactions and it is assumed that in Africa the point mutation occurred first in the Hna-1b allele resulting in the SOTA allele and the FcgammaRIIIB gene duplication took place later.

Characterization of a new alloantigen (SH) on the human neutrophil Fc gamma receptor IIIb.

The findings show the existence of an additional polymorphism of the Fc gamma RIIIb, which can result in alloantibody formation causing alloimmune neonatal neutropenia.

Neutrophil‐specific antigen and gene frequencies in the French population

It is concluded that there are no significant differences between the NA and NB antigen frequencies in the French and white American populations, as determined using polyclonal antisera, and that the reactivity of NA antigens varies.

A 27-year-old man with an allergy to house dust mites was found to lack the Fc gammaRIIIb on his neutrophils, and it was concluded that the F c gammaR IIIb deficiency on the neutrophil cell surface of this individual is due to a lack of the FC gammaRIIIB gene.

NA gene frequencies in the German population, determined by polymerase chain reaction with sequence‐specific primers

The expression of NA antigens in people withunusual Fcγ receptor III genotypes

This study compared NA1 and NA2 expression on granulocytes in persons with variant FcγRIIIB genes and in healthy blood donors to determine the role of these differences in antigen expression.
