問12群馬県立文書館所蔵の古文書に、黒人と思われる「くろほう」という記述があるとききました。それは事実でしょうか。
栗間家文書（P00101）のNo1「年未詳加藤清正書状」（下川又左衛門ほか宛）には、豊臣秀吉の朝鮮出兵に関連する記述の中で「くろほう」という言葉が出てきます。そして2021年3月30日にNHKBS4Kで放送された「BlackSamurai信長に仕えたアフリカン侍・弥助」の中で、日本大学准教授のロックリー・トーマス氏がこの文書に出てくる「くろほう」こそ、織田信長に仕えた黒人武将弥助の後身ではないかと、述べられています。まず文書館内では、この「くろほう」をこれまで全く黒人として認識しておらず、トーマス氏のご指摘に驚いています。実は、この「くろほう」が弥助かどうかはともかく、黒人と推定する見解は以前からありました（中島楽章氏「16世紀九州末ー東南アジア貿易」『史学雑誌』118－8号ほか）。 ただし現時点では、この文書の1カ所にしか出てこないため、断定は難しいと思われます。例えば、『源氏物語』にも「くろほう」という言葉が出てきますが、これは「黒芳」（練り香）の意味で、日本の古典で頻出しているようです。また、当館文書を読むと、人間ではなく、物を指す記述と見た方が自然ではないか、という意見も係内で出ています。以上より、現時点では「くろほう」を直ちに黒人と即断するのは難しいのではないか、というのが当館古文書係の見解です。

残念ながら対応言語は英語のみだが、日頃からこの場で高尚かつ熱い議論を交わしている増田諸兄は中学英語レベルなら余裕で使いこなせるだろう。
本当になんでもできる。英語で書ければだが。
剣と魔法のファンタジー世界で銃をぶっ放して遊ぶこともできるし、個人で楽しむ範囲なら、再現した版権世界に異世界転生することもできる。
では実際にどうやって遊ぶか、軽く実例をお示ししよう。
まずはサイトに登録し、Homeから「NEW GAME」をクリック。
すると色々出てくるので、わかりやすいシナリオ群である「PROMPTS」から、「Fantasy」、続けて「Knight」をクリック。
すると、

しかし同じことをした諸兄は全く違う文章が出力されているだろう。
それもそのはず、AI Dungeonは遊ぶたびに異なる物語を提供してくれるからだ。
なので同じシナリオでも、進め方次第で全く異なる結末を迎えることがよくある。
このシナリオでは騎士の増田がドラゴン退治に向かったらオーガに出会ったようだ。
せっかくなので倒してみよう。

あっさり倒せたが、戦利品を得ようとするとなぜか急に地獄に飛ばされた。

もっと違う展開を見るため、一度やり直してみる。
因みに戻しすぎた場合は「REDO」で同じ文章が再展開されるし、「RESTORE」でなかったことにした文を引っ張り出すこともできる。
ここさえなんとかなればなぁ～という惜しい文章は、直接「EDIT」で自分好みに変えてしまうのもいいだろう。

このゲームがいかに素晴らしいか、諸兄にお分かりいただけただろうか。
私が冒頭に述べた「英語で書ければ何でもできる」とはまさにこのことだ。
誰もが冒頭の展開からでっぷり太った醜いオーガと遭遇する場面を想像しただろうが、このように書いてしまえば乳と尻のデカいマッチョ亜人美女とのラッキースケベ現場に早変わりである。
もちろんこんなのは序の口で、ある種の英単語さえ知っていればそれはもうあんなことからこんなことまで自由自在だ。
そろそろ諸兄もAI Dungeonをプレイ（意味深）したくなってきたのではないだろうか。
さて、増田諸兄にAI Dungeonの素晴らしさを伝えたところで、諸兄らがぶち当たりそうな問題点について補足する。
もちろん他の疑問があれば、可能な限り追記して返答しようと思うので、気兼ねなくご質問をお願いしたい。
そもそもテキストベースのゲームなのでコピペで直ぐに翻訳できる。
AIも賢いので多少文法・スペルが間違っていても強引に解釈してくれる。
まあとりあえず遊んでみよう。話はそれから。
ページの右上タブから「Setting」に移動し、「Safe mode」を設定しよう。
「OFF」でNSFW展開を許可し、「STRICT」で完全に除外することができる。
試していないので不明だが「MODERATE」で中間程度だろう。
AIは語った内容を結構な頻度で忘れるため、登場人物の容姿や持ち物がコロコロ変わってしまうことがある。
そういうときは「PIN」や「World Information」に忘れさせたくない情報を記載すると良いだろう。
「PIN」は常にAIが覚えてくれるが、1000字以内という縛りがある。
「World Information」は特定の単語にのみ反応して情報を思い出してくれるが、多くの情報を入れることができる。
状況に応じて使い分けるといいだろう。
これは無課金で遊んでいるとどうしても出てくる最大の不満点である。
もちろんAI Dungeonは画期的なゲームだが、何度も遊んでいると同じような展開ばかりになってしまうことがある。
これはプレイヤー側の入力が偏っている可能性があることも一因だが、それ以上に大きいのは、AIにも出せる限界がある、ということだ。
無課金で利用できるAIは「GRIFFIN」と呼ばれる一段下のモデルであり、課金することで「DRAGON」という最上位AIの一部・または全部を使うことができる。
DRAGONモデルは驚くほど自然、かつクリエイティブで多彩なシナリオを展開してくれる。上記の例文もDRAGONモデルが生成したものだ。
課金することで「SCALE」というゲーム内通貨を入手でき、これを使って特定のプリセットワールドを購入することもできる。

去年2017年、個人的に一番衝撃を受けたのは"VR Chat”という、VR空間内で3Dモデルアバターになり、他の人と交流ができるソーシャルVRアプリケーションです。これは本当に素晴らしく、じぶんの身体というものに対する考え方が変わるくらいの体験ができます。間違いなく2018年の台風の目になるような気がしています。
VRChatで体験することができる興味深い身体現象の一つとして、「身体同一性キャリブレーション」とでも言うべき行動/感覚があります(ちなみにこの言葉自体は今テキトーに作ったのでググって頂いても1件もヒットしません)。VRChatにログインすると、ユーザは突然何の説明もなく天空の城っぽいところに放り出されます。スポーン地点の近くには大きな鏡があって、自然と鏡の前にユーザが惹かれていくようなUX設計になっているのですが、ここでユーザは鏡に映った3Dモデルが自分であると認識します。この時の感覚が非常に面白いです。「明らかに自分と違うものが鏡に映っているんだけれども、自分の身体の動きとあまりにも連動しているので、なるほどこれが自分なんだななるほどなるほど」という、違和感を解消する一連のプロセスがあるのです。腕を色々振ってみたり頭をまわしてみたりしながら、自分の神経感覚を3Dのアバターと同期させるような感覚です。ケータイを落とした時に「痛！」と感じる & 言ってしまうような感じに近いです。自分ではないものなんだけれどもなんか自分の身体のような気がしてくる感じです。
そしてこの作業、VRChatの感覚に慣れてレベルアップしてくると、ただの自己位置推定的な物理的キャリブレーションという機能だけではなく、社会的な見え方に関する自分の認識の調整機能もあるということがわかってきます。VRChatでは宇宙人から初音ミクまで、古今東西老若男女問わずあらゆるキャラクターになれるのですが、おもしろいことに、自分のアバターの設定を変えた後に(=自分のすがたかたちを変えた後に)、鏡の前に猛烈に行きたくなるという生理現象が発生します。これはなぜ発生するのか考えていたのですが、「今、自分は相手からどういう風に見えているのだろう」というイメージがないと人間は不安になってしまうからなのだと思います。社会的な動物ということですね。なので、VRChat内は鏡だらけです、色んなところに鏡が置いてあります。
また、「3dモデルを人として尊重する」ということも学べます。VRchatにきて初めて「向こう側に実際の人がいる3dモデル」と対峙するという経験をするわけです。ただのオンラインゲームのように、人がリモコンで操っている3Dモデルではありません。VRChat内で出会うアバターたちはみんな先ほど言ったようなキャリブレーションを終えて、神経がある種入り込んでいるアバターたちなわけです。3Dモデルの右手は実際の人間の右手なわけです。生まれて初めて3Dモデルに対して礼儀正しく振る舞いました。また、人として尊重する精神があるからこそ、VRチャット内で目を合わせる、手をふる、握手をする、頭を撫でる等に意味が生まれるわけです。
また、使っているうちに3Dモデルアバター社会にも慣れて、イケているアバターとイケていないアバターという感覚がついてきます。面白いのは3dモデル単体がイケているアバターが必ずしもVR Chat内でイケているわけではないところです。Unityちゃんなんかは見た目もよいですし、ダイナミックボーンの設定等も手が込んでいるように見えますが、あまりに数が多いのであんまりイケている感じがしないです。身体はある種のユニークネスがないとやはりダメなんだと思います。
自身の見栄えが制約なく自由に制御できる世の中になったら、現実世界でのファッションもおそらくこんな感じになるんじゃねえかなという感じがあります。一つ面白いなと思ったのは、身体が発光するキャラクターが割と目につくということです。UnityのモデルではEmissionの設定一つで簡単に光らせることができるということなのかもしれないですが、ある種の欲求が現れているように見えます。将来的に現実世界でも、医学や服飾技術が発達したら人は身体や服を光らせ始めるのではないでしょうか。まあ現に最近のバイオハッカーたちの流行りは手にLEDを埋め込んで光らせることらしいので、もう始まっているとも言えるかもしれませんが・・・

(余談ですが、既製の3Dモデルだと現実世界の自分のボーンの位置と3Dモデルのボーンの位置は完全に一体化しないので、そこまで含めたオーダーメイドの3Dモデル製作をするというのも面白そうだなと思いました。そういう意味でもゾゾスーツはVR社会においても重宝されるかもしれません。)
VRChatの衝撃についてうだうだと色々書いてしまいましたが、やっぱり何より熱気が凄いです。これこそがインターネットだという感じがあります。ぜひ体験してみてください。
