エロマンガ島（エロマンガとう; 英: Erromango）は、南太平洋、バヌアツのタフェア州最大の島。ニューヘブリディーズ諸島の一つ。「エロマンゴ島」、あるいは「イロマンゴ島」とも表記される。そのエロ漫画を連想させる名称から、日本では特に珍地名の一つとして紹介されることがある。

島の中心部に標高 837 mの火山がある小島で、周囲は珊瑚礁に覆われている。面積 887 km2、人口は2016年の国勢調査では2,109人[1]。主要な産業は牧畜業・農業で、肉牛を飼う大きな牧場が広がっている。西側のディロン湾に好錨地を持つ[2]。かつては全体が密林に覆われ上質な白檀が取れたが、乱伐によって現在はほとんど森がなくなり、白檀も取れなくなった。
18世紀にはイギリスとフランスの旧共同統治領になっていたが、実質上は無政府状態に近かった。ポリネシア系の住民が大昔から住み着いており最盛期には10,000人に達していた。
1830年代から各国が宣教師を送り込み教化を試みたが、送られてから数年以内に原住民の人間狩りに遭って虐殺されて食べられるという事件が頻発していた。犠牲者の中にはロンドン宣教師協会のジョン・ウィリアムズも含まれていた[3]。
1840年代から、宣教師や白檀目当ての商人たちが持ち込んだ赤痢やはしかなどの伝染病が、島中に蔓延するようになり、人口の減少が始まる。商人たちによる住民の虐殺なども頻発するようになった。1860年代には白檀の大半が伐採され森林は荒れ果ててしまった。これ以降は奴隷狩りによる人身売買が島を訪れる商人たちの主目的になっていく。1884年にフランス人宣教師が人間狩りに遭い、殺されて食べられるという事件が起きると、フランス軍が上陸し報復を行った。しかし、イギリスとの領有権問題から、イギリス側の抗議を受けたため、フランス軍は村をひとつ焼き払っただけで撤退した。
1887年に共同海軍委員会を設立して島の治安維持に当たることになった。しかし、住民を保護する法律もなければ行政機関もなく、住民が白人に危害を加えたときに報復するためだけの組織としてしか機能せず、実質的には無政府状態のままだった。
1906年にイギリスとフランスの間で共同統治領とする条約が調印され、各種の法律整備も進められ、行政機関が設置されて無政府状態が解消した。原住民に対してもキリスト教の布教を行い食人文化を禁止し、文明化をすすめたため、20世紀初頭には食人は完全になくなったといわれている。
最盛期には人口1万人に達した繁栄した島であったが19世紀から激減する。住民は現在でもキリスト教の宣教師を殺した神罰により衰退したと信じているが、実際の人口激減の理由はヨーロッパ人がもたらした伝染病による大量死、略奪、オーストラリア開拓のための奴隷狩り（ブラックバーディング）である。このため、島の社会は崩壊し、キリスト教化された住民の間にポリネシアの伝統文化などはほとんど残っていない。
アフガニスタンというと、日本では人道的支援やODA（政府開発援助）の話が中心で、最近の情勢がどうなっているかという報道がほとんどない。なのでちょっと書いてみたい。
もうずいぶん昔の話だが、2001年9月11日にニューヨークの同時多発テロがあった直後、アメリカはアフガニスタンに侵攻してタリバンをパキスタンに追いやったのだった。
タリバンとはパキスタンのマドラサ（イスラムの学校）発の運動で、1990年代末にはアフガニスタンを掌握していた。
なぜアメリカがタリバンと戦ったかというと、アルカーイダ（同時多発テロを主導）の中心人物だったウサーマ・ビン・ラディン（2011年にパキスタンで殺害）を、タリバンがかくまっていたからだった。当時のブッシュ政権はテロとの戦い（TheWaron Terror）を標ぼうして、それに参加しない国は敵として侵攻もやむなしという国防戦略をとっていた。NATOの加盟国から軍隊がアフガニスタンに行ってタリバンと戦争をしていた。
タリバンは滅びていない。それどころかアフガニスタン国内で着実に支配を拡げつつある。一方、アメリカを中心とするNATO軍は今年（2021年）の5月までに完全撤退を目指している。（日本ではあまり報道されないだけで、）この間ずっと戦争は続いていた。
アメリカにとってアフガニスタンでの戦争は史上最長の戦争になったが、負けたという見方が強まっている。戦費の負担はアメリカにとってずっと重荷だった。オバマ大統領は2014年に多くのアメリカ軍を撤退させたが、完全撤退にはならなかった。アフガニスタン軍を育てて、アフガニスタン人に自分たちでタリバンと戦ってもらおうというもくろみだったのだが、これはあまりうまく行っていない。毎年アメリカがアフガニスタン軍の費用の4分の3（50億ドルぐらい）を注ぎ込んでやらないと戦えないからだ。
トランプ大統領は去年の2月末にタリバンとの和平交渉をまとめたことになっている。ことになっている、というのは、その内容がかなり怪しいからだ。アフガニスタンの国土をアメリカとその同盟国(allies)の安全を脅かす活動に使わないこと、タリバンと現アフガニスタン政府が和平交渉を行うこと、をタリバンに誓約させるかわりに、アメリカは今後一切アフガニスタンの国内問題に介入しないこととしている。
これは実質的に逃げを打っているのであって、NATO軍が去った後、これまでの努力は水泡に帰してタリバンがアフガニスタンを支配するのではないかという見方が強まっている。
アメリカとタリバンがまとめた合意にしたがって、去年の秋からカタールのドーハでアフガニスタン政府ととタリバンの和平交渉が続いていた。今月の5日からこの交渉は再開する予定だ。
2001年末にパキスタンへ逃げた当時のタリバンは完全に弱体化していたが、パキスタンやイランの支援のおかげで今はプロの軍事組織に成長していて、最近の構成員は6万人くらいいるといわれている。
和平交渉を行っている間も休戦にはならず、タリバンはアフガニスタン国内で毎日のように人を殺しまくっている。以前は政府や軍の高官をターゲットにしていたが、最近では一般人（女性の活動家を含む）を中心に襲っている。タリバンが政権中枢で力を持ったときに歯向かいそうな人間をあらかじめ殺しているといわれている。
タリバンはイスラム法の厳格な運用を目指している。現在タリバンが実効支配している地域ではだれもタリバンに文句を言えないそうだ。
女性は基本的に家を出ることはできず、外出の必要があれば親族の男性が付き添わなくてはいけない。もちろん学校に行くこともできない。
現在の政権下では女性の社会進出が進んで、労働人口の5分の1が女性になったらしい。タリバンが政権を取ればすべてが昔に逆戻りになるのでアフガニスタンの女性は脅威を感じているそうだ。
だがこの数年で現政権は交渉力をかなり失い、タリバンは力を伸ばしている。
今月再開される交渉の結果、タリバンがアフガニスタンのあり方を大きく変えるか、交渉決裂で内戦が起こる可能性がまことしやかに議論されている。
日本はこれまで開発援助でアフガニスタンを支援してきた。これは基本的に親米の現アフガニスタン政府とのつきあいだ。テロとの戦いでは基本的にアメリカに同調してきた。だが今回のアフガニスタン和平交渉の結果、タリバンのメンバーが政権中枢に入ることになれば、これまで実質的に「テロリスト」扱いしてきたタリバンを相手に日本国民の税金を原資とした開発援助が使われるという事態にもなりうる。
ちなみに、アメリカがタリバンと締結した合意では、アメリカの「同盟国」がどの国かは具体的に書いていない。これは安保条約の適用対象で日本も含まれるのかどうかはよくわからない。そうだろうと日本人が勝手に思っているだけの可能性もある。

The eye protectors can helpyou to preventbeing infected through the eye. We have strongevidence that the new coronavirus can spread through the eye-air contact. Ifyou can't buy them, the swimming glasscan do the same job (even better).
Considering thatyoumay facemasks shortage, the 75% alcohol disinfectant andUV disinfectionlamp can disinfectmasks for reusing them. Prepare enough alcohol disinfectantand aUVlamp foryour family.

日本語記事の翻訳に問題があるのかと思い、原文を探したところ下記のようだ。

原文を読むと、どうやら日本語訳の問題ではなく、元々論理の飛躍で始まっているようである。

どうでもいいですが、安倍さんはそのままAbeで、朴さんはPark表記になるんですね。
vindicateというのは私には見慣れない単語なのですが、"vindicatehoge"で"hogeの正当性を証明する"的な意味のようです。
原文と日本語版の各パラグラフ構成も同じ様なので、著者が偏向している方なのかしら？
と疑問を持ったので、少し調べてみる。

失礼ながら私は聞いたことが無い団体に所属されている方のようである。
Karl Friedhoff氏の名前でGoogle検索してみると、氏のアカウントと思われるTwitterアカウントが一番上に表示される。
当該アカウントのプロフィールも上記団体となっているので同氏のもので間違いないのであろう。
ちなみにプロフィールによると場所がSeoulと記されている。
英語に混じってハングルのTweetがTimelineに載っている。
ご尊顔を見る限りでは欧米系の方のようですが、在韓でお仕事されているようですね。

韓国は韓国に都合よく(程度の差はあれど、時として日本は日本に都合よく)物事を論評する傾向があると常々感じています。
元のWSJ記事を見て米国が韓国側に近いことを言い出したのか!?、と思いましたがどうやらそうではないと。
韓国の団体に所属する人間が、韓国目線で好き勝手に書いていますと。
WSJの英語版記事のコメントを見ると、韓国系と思われる名称のユーザによるAnti-Japanな書き込みが見られます。
また、実情を知らないと思われる一般人も日本Disに加担しているようです。
逆に日本人と思われる名称のユーザが日本の立場を書いていたりしますが、少数ですね。
アーリントン墓地に行くのは問題なくて、靖国神社の何が問題なのかと。
いわゆるA級戦犯とされた人々がまずいんでしょうか。
というか、そんなにコメント盛り上がってないようなので、そんなに注目されていない記事なのでしょう。
ちなみに私個人は、靖国参拝について他国から文句を言われる筋合いは無いと思っています。
ですが、そう思うと共に韓国人を敵視/蔑視しているわけでもありません。
むしろ、同僚として働いたことがある個々人としてはスキルフルで勤勉だったりでネガティブな印象は持っていません。
が、韓国政府やその主張を妄信している一部民衆の言動については辟易しています。
靖国についての韓国(或いは中国)からの批判で、唯一合理的で考慮したほうが良いかもしれないと思えるのはA級戦犯とされた人々の取り扱いについてだと思っています。
しかしA級＝極悪人という単純な分類でも無いですし、恣意的に侵略を扇動した人間を識別することが可能であるのなら靖国から分祀するのは理にかなっていると思います。
私は理系の人間で、歴史は義務教育レベル故無知な面も多々ありますが、客観的なエビデンスベースで合理的な批判以外は耳を傾ける必要は無いと思っています。
