超長文に付き、最初に結論を書いておく。
・あまり１人旅には向かない。４人くらいで行くべし。 飯の選択肢やコスパが圧倒的に変わる。 １人で食べれるような飯は基本不味い。フィリピンクオリティ。
・かかる金額としてはマニラから４人で二泊三日で行く場合は貧乏旅行の場合に移動費等全部混みで一人あたり最大１万ペソ程度（３万円弱）、ある程度宿や飯にお金を使う場合でも２万ペソ前後（６万円弱）を見ておけばOK。
・旅のコスパはフィリピンの中でも上のほう。ただし、時間対効率は並程度。 もしも乾季中に三連休があれば是非行って欲しい。
・トップ１０に選ばれただけあって景色の美しさは保証出来る。 が、ダイビングやシュノーケルが主目的だったらもっと良いお手軽な島が比国内に多々あるのでそちらへ。
・２０１５年４月現在、混雑は全く心配しなくて良い。
・ネット環境は思ったよりずっとずっと良い。SmartのPocketwi-fiを持って行こう。 なお市街地、北端の港近く、パラウイ島の主要地 どこでも電話が通じる。
・タガログ語は問題なく通じる。 英語もまぁ田舎の割に思ってたよりは多くの人に通じる。
・港近くの中華系リゾートの中にCityBankのATMアリ。 MEGALINK対応カードであればBDO等他銀行のカードでも現金を下ろす事が可能 ＊１
２００９年末からメトロマニラに住み始めたアラサー男性。 日本に行ったり帰ったりもあってフィリピン滞在歴は合計４年弱。
１２歳時にタイのプーケットでダイビング免許取得。モルディブ、パラオ、沖縄、サイパン、ロタ 等世界各国の海に加え、 エルニドやボホール、パラワン等フィリピンのリゾートを多々経験しており海やビーチに対して目は肥えている・・・つもりだが、欧米に行ったことがない。 ＊２

今年こそ行きたい、世界の厳選ビーチ１００
この結果が在比邦人（フィリピン在住の日本人）の一部界隈で密かに話題になった。
他にフィリピンからランクインしたボラカイやエルニドは在比邦人にとって非常に有名である。
また海外ではあるが、１９位に入ったタイのピピ島なんかもレオナルド・ディカプリオ主演の映画「ザ・ビーチ」の舞台になったので知ってる人は知ってるだろう。
しかし、このランキングにアジアで唯一トップ１０に入ったパラウイ島は旅好きな日本人の誰もが知らなかったのである。（なおCNNはアメリカの放送局なので、ランキングに欧米系のバイアスがかかり上位に大西洋や地中海近辺のビーチが多くなるのは納得行く。）
さらに日本人の間だけではなかった。 なんと各々の職場の同僚のフィリピン人に聞いても誰も知らなかったのだ。
果たして一体どんな島なんだろうとずっと恋焦がれていた。
パラウイ島についてはネットにおける日本語における情報が完全に不足しており、９割が英語の情報、１割が中国語及びタガログ語である。
おそらくだが行ったことがある日本人は私を除いて２，３人しかいないのではないだろうか。 ＊３
更にいうとトリップアドバイザーやGoogleMap等における近辺のレストランや宿についてのレビュー情報も圧倒的に不足している。存在する情報はパラウイ島が観光地として素晴らしいということだけである。
そんなわけで最近行った私が知っていること全てをアウトプットすることにした。 今回一人旅をしたことで色々な地雷も踏み抜いたし、世界一詳しい日本語でのパラウイ島旅行解説を目指している。
おそらくこの日記を見る人の中で実際にパラウイ島に行く人は１万人に１人以下、フィリピンに住んでいたとしても１００人に１人というレベルの場所だが、将来パラウイ島に行く日本人の変わり者の君のために文を綴ろうと思う。
超マイナー観光地かつ残念糞長文ゆえ、ブコメやスターが集まるとはあまり思っていないが、願わくばグーグルで「パラウイ 行ってきた」と検索した時に１ページ目に出るようになることを切実に願っている。
初日にまずマニラからトゥゲガラオまで飛行機で移動することになる、基本的には。 ＊４
セブパシフィック航空（セブパシ）とフィリピン航空（PAL)でマニラ発トゥゲガラオ行きがある。どうしてもPALが好きなんだ、という人でなければニノイ・アキノ国際空港（NAIA）のターミナル３（T3)を使えるセブパシを選ぼう。 ＊５
チケットを取るタイミングやプロモの有無にもよるが、１１時１５分発、１２時１５分着でだいたい２０００ペソ弱（５０００円くらい） 帰りは１４時発、１５時着で１０００ペソ強（３０００円くらい） ＋空港使用税などもろもろでチケット代は往復１万円前後と考えておこう。
なおマニラ発トゥゲガラオ行きの飛行機は左側の窓際の指定席が個人的にオススメ。 ＊６
飛行機の搭乗時間は１時間弱。 そこからバン乗り場まで移動する。
距離にして１キロ程度、歩いて１５分程度だが、トゥゲガラオはフィリピンの最高気温の記録がある街。
標高が低く周囲が山に囲まれている盆地のため、気候は暑くなりやすい。3月の平均気温は38℃である。フィリピンで記録された最高気温は1912年4月29日のトゥゲガラオ市で42.2℃である。

日本で言う埼玉県熊谷や岐阜県多治見のような内陸部の盆地に付き、３~５月の乾季の一番暑い時期の昼下がりは晴れてれば４０度近く軽く行く。
無謀に歩こうとせずに、是非トライシクル（二輪車にサイドカーが付いた三輪車風の乗り物。タイ等でいうトゥクトゥク）を利用することを勧めたい。
値段もたったの１５ペソ（４０円程度）なのでケチらないほうが良い。 ＊６
バン乗り場ではトゥゲガラオ発、サンタアナ行きのバンが３０分~４０分に１本出ている。 地元住民の需要もかなりあるらしくすぐに次の便が出る。 人数が揃い次第or次のバンが来次第出発な感じなので時刻表なんてものは勿論存在しない。
１１人乗りのバンに１５人とか１６人とか詰め込まれ３時間の行程を行くことになる。値段は行き帰りともに１８０ペソ（５００円弱）
もし可能ならば１本遅らせても良いから助手席に座るべき。値段は同じなのにも関わらず後部座席とは快適さが全く違う。 特に帰りは前半右側に海の景色が見えて綺麗なので是非。
道はデコボコじゃなくて案外乗りやすい。あと窓を開けっ放しでスピード飛ばすので意外と暑くない。
サンタアナに付いたらバンの運転手さんにお願いして先端の先端のサンヴィンセンテポートまで行ってもらうように。（２０ペソ程プラスしてチップを渡すと良いでしょう）
もしもサンタアナの市街地に降ろされてしまった場合はトライシクルを捕まえて１５ペソ程度で港まで行ける。 市街地から港まで４キロ以上あるので歩いて行こうと思わないように。
先端の港では翌日のパラウイ島の入島許可証を買ったり、ボートの手配。 宿のチェックインより先にやってしまいたい。
基本着いて翌日の朝６時に港集合なので、徒歩で港まで行ける上二箇所が安全だと思う。
勿論もっと南のサンタアナの市街まで候補地を広げれば相当宿の数は多くなるが、早朝にもしトライシクルが捕まらないと詰む可能性があるのがちょっと怖い所。
今回筆者が利用した格安宿。GoogleMapに載っていない、やばい。（同じような名前のCostalesLodgeがもっと東のほうにあるが、そこではない）
場所的には先端の港から１本道のDugo-San Vicenteロードをまっすぐ南下。 途中それなりに曲がりつつも道なりに進んで１０分弱で見えてくる右側のガソリンスタンド(PETRON)の手前を右。 明らかに１本道で迷わない。
前述の通り港まで徒歩で１０分程度。 朝は５時４５分に宿を出れば６時の船に乗れる。
水シャワーだが１泊８００ペソ程度。 一番安い部屋だと二段ベッド×２なので４人で行けば１人あたり２００ペソ（５００円強）で泊まれる。
とにかく旅にお金を掛けたくない人向け。 夜の娯楽等については後編にて。
Cagayan Holiday & Leisure Resort 北端の町の西側の海岸一体がリゾートな感じ。中華資本だが、普通に超綺麗だった。
港まで徒歩で１５分程度。 先述の安宿よりやや南下するが、港までは十分徒歩圏内。
一番安い部屋で１泊３０００ペソ前後（１万円弱）。コテージの中は見ていないが複数人で旅するならアリな選択肢だと思う。
なお、ホテルのフロントのあんちゃん曰く、中国人が泊まるのは２割程度とのこと。
後編の飯の所でも書くが、北端の港町でまともといえる料理があるのはこのリゾートの敷地内（厳密には同じ資本でオーナーは違うらしい）にある中華料理レストラン１軒のみ。
筆者は貧乏旅かつ１人なので食べに行かなかったが、メニューを見たところお値段は普通にマニラ首都圏と変わらないくらいする。（おそらく１人１０００ペソ前後行くのではないだろうか） 中華料理の性質ゆえ、ここで食事するときは複数人で行くことを進めたい。
またこれは完全に未確定情報だが、おそらく リゾート所有の送迎のバンが存在する。 町を歩きまわっている時にリゾートの中に入っていくバンを何度か見たので。
ただそのバンが一体トゥゲガラオからなのかサンタアナなのかはわからなかった。 また、早朝や昼の港への送迎をやっているかどうかもわからなかった（≒聞くのを忘れた）
電話で予約した時に是非送迎について聞いてみて欲しい。
"世界一詳しい日本語でのパラウイ島旅行解説を目指している。"と最初に宣言しつつも、この項だけは非常に非常に信頼度が怪しいので眉唾ものとして聞いていただきたい。
だいたいが現地民の話を継ぎ接ぎで作り合わせた推論（及び自分が実際に訪れた場所の感想）なので、前者２つの選択肢に比べてハイリスクである。ご了承頂きたく。
まず、Anguib Beachという非常に綺麗なビーチが東のほうにある。実際に筆者は船で訪れた。
ここにあるFirst Cagayan Leisure & Resortは浜にコテージがあるタイプのビーチリゾートで、１泊２３００ペソ（６０００円くらい）で泊まれる。
いかにもコテージといった感じの宿で、可も不可もなくといったところ。

ここには筆者は訪れていないので何も言えない。
これらビーチリゾートに於ける疑問点としては
１．おそらくリゾートから港はトライシクルで行けるような距離ではない。 バン等の交通機関が早朝からあるのだろうか。
２．リゾート所有の船が砂浜に何艘かあったが、もしかしたら港を使わずあの船を使ってそのままパラウイ島へ行って帰ってこれるかもしれない・・・・？
３．飯についての情報が完全に不明。 北端の港町だと南へトライシクルで１０分行けば市街地にそこそこ食べられる料理があるのだが、（市街地から離れている）リゾートの場合、リゾート内の料理が不味かったら逃げられない可能性が微レ存。
普通に人が大勢泊まっている時点で船や車については大丈夫だとは思うのだが、是非電話で予約するときに確認して欲しい。
なお、パラウイ島自体にはホテルやリゾートは存在しないのでどうしても泊まりたければ砂浜にテントを張ってキャンプするか地元住民の掘っ立て小屋のようなところにホームステイすることになるらしい。
テントの貸出しサービスがAnguib Beachにあった。 アクティブな人は是非キャンプして見て欲しい。

ＣＮＮは、ボラカイ島プカ・ビーチ、パラワン島エル・ニド、カガヤン州パラウィ島を世界でも最高のビーチにリストアップした。 中でもパラウィ島は第１０位に
ランクされ、トップ１０では唯一の東南アジアのビーチとされた。 白砂・溶岩・青緑の海水・珊瑚礁に恵まれたダイバーの天国で”未開発の美”と絶賛する同島
には、アクセスも開拓されず リゾートもホテルも無いが、星空の下でのキャンプと民宿が素晴らしいとしている。

とあるので、タガログ語の交渉が得意な方は是非現地住民と交渉して、ホームステイをトライして頂きたい。

驚くことにここまで肝心のパラウイ島の旅行記について全く書いていない。
＊２ いつか紅の豚に出てきたギリシャ・ザキントス島のナヴァイオビーチ行ってみたいなぁ・・・。
＊３ なお、２年弱前の時点で相当探したが０人だったと私の中では確信している。CNNの結果を受けてようやく知ったという人ばかりだろう。
＊４ 帰り道に台風４号の影響もあって、トゥゲガラオからマニラまでバスで移動したが非常に大変だった。値段は７００ペソで１２時間程度かかる。 マニラ市内のバス停の位置も不便だしそこをお金ケチる必要は無いので行き帰り共に飛行機を使うのを強く強く推奨したい。
＊５ 使用する滑走路や当日の風向きにも寄るだろうが、晴れていればマカティ、ボニファシオ、オルティガス、ケソンシティあたりまで綺麗に上空の景色が見ることが出来るだろう。
＊６ もしフィリピンについて全く詳しくない人がいたとしたらT３はめっちゃ便利でT１とT２は若干使いにくいと覚えておこう。極端な話だと中心地からの移動時間的にT３が羽田空港で、T１とT２が伊丹空港と関空を足して二で割ったくらいな感じ。
