SFにおける「時間停止」ギミックの歴史としては先行研究として以下の私家翻訳を見つけた

▼『オズの魔法使い』シリーズの作者として知られるライマン・フランク・ボーム（1856年～1919年）の童話集“AmericanFairy Tales”(1901年10月)に収録された“The Capture of FatherTime”の拙訳。私が知る限りでは、世界で最初の「時間を止めてイタズラをする話」です（ウェルズの「新加速剤」は1901年12月）。
▼「透明人間になってイタズラをする話」の元祖が紀元前4世紀のプラトンの著作にまで遡れるのに対して、「時間を止めてイタズラをする話」の歴史は意外に浅く、時間停止ジャンルの古典とも呼べる上の両作ですら1901年、「性的なイタズラをする話」となると、1962年のジョン・D・マクドナルドの『金時計の秘密』まで待たねばなりません。あるいは、これより古い時間停止作品の例があるのかもしれませんが、今のところ私には見つけられていません。
うーむ、「時間停止したモノに衝撃が蓄積される」というサブジャンルについてはなかなか情報が見つからない
いわゆる「ステイシスフィールド」「停滞フィールド」と呼ばれるギミックとも隣接しているんだよな
