I don't know why this one has a much lower rating than the other two, it's much better paced and more focused than the first, it has better drama, more consistent characterization and it even adapts the Red Cliff battle. It also has a lot better sound than that movie.

The second part of the trilogy is by far the best, not only introduces the Wu kingdom, the Sleeping Dragon, and the chase of Cao Cao after his crushing defeat, but also adapts the most important event in the novel, the battle of Red Cliffs, also call the Battle of Chibi. The animation, characterization pacing and atmosphere improved a lot here, you can still feel rush the whole thing, but not as notable as the first movie, i loved the climax and the more focused plot. Very recommended.
