When you hear "Mahou shoujo" you expect cuteness, using magic for the good of the humanity, happiness, you probably know what i mean if you watched any REAL Mahou Shoujo anime. Because this one isn't like that. Talking about toilet paper, falling into the toilet and stuff like that doesn't really fit a supposedly cute anime. Constantly getting scolded for using magic...doesn't fit either. And their "techer" who at the beginning wanted to actually make them unable to use magic...then somehow they ended up learning it instead...this story doesn't make much sense at all.

I find more in common to Powerpuff girls Z and this than this and the previous Sasami animes.

Overall : Bad anime, stay away. Definitely stay away until the 2nd season is translated, maybe it will be better.

Stand-alone this season is really a slice of life anime that happens to center around magical girls (but that's what magical girl anime used to be anyway). Watch the 2nd season to get the whole picture.

There was no reason to have some Tenchi Muyou character designs here. They don't sound or act like them. Hell, NotSasami doesn't even look like Sasami. Pointless marketing move.This post was edited bytootbrush (94978) on 21.02.2017 20:47.

I think it's not so bad.
It's not from tenchi muyo universe, except Mihoshi - she's shining as always.
Will watch second season.
