I have waited over a year before I even started to watch a single episode of this series and I have to say that it was well worth the wait.
If this anime series doesn't win the ARC Best Science Fiction Anime Award for 2009 then I would seriously doubt the voting jury members for that award because in my honest opinion this anime was the best science fiction subject anime I have seen from 2009. I am a big fan of the subject matter too since I personally go for this type of anime that present the subject of robots and humans in a intelligent, interesting, and a non-violent point of view even though one of my personal all time favorite anime happens to beGhost in the Shell and the twoStand Alone Complex series.
My only problem with this excellent series was that it was short and the open ending, and like everybody else that commented on this series on here, I do want to see more of this. Maybe we'll get a further look in to the story in the movie version of this series later on this year but for now I am happy with the six episodes we did get.

Wonderful short series.
It was fulfilling but at the same time it begs us to ask for more.

This has a very interesting story that focuses a bit more on the robot side of things when the line between humanity and machines blurs. It's a bit more realistic than cyborg and android tech; it gives it less of a nerdy sci-fi feel since it seems so down to earth--not so much different than life now besides the addition of life-like robot helpers.

Nice plot, good characters, wonderfull Animation....buuut to less episodes and im not sure why it was labled Romance because i didnt see any...u?

It was very good and very different (for me of course - first one of this genre). It would be interesting if they made a second season, but I'm fine with it as it is too.

Wow, I'm in awe after finishing that series. A great theme with ethical issues about a probable future (I wouldn't hesitate to claim that in 15-20 years in Japan, they will have something similar). Probably one of my favorite theme in science fiction (not only in anime)
Now I know it might sounds like I'm whining for nothing, but a few episodes more wouldn't hurt.

The movie is actually even better in overall, since they bridge the gaps between the eps, and give it an overall better feeling, even if it doesn't have much new material.

It's interesting and ambitious. Would have loved to see a bit more. Not complete or proven enough to be given too high a rating on my part. What it had was good, but I can't claim it to be a complete masterpiece. But still a must-see from an obviously intelligent creator with a lot of promise. Not a bad watch.
