When watching Palisen Files keep in mind that the story is secondary. The political conspiracy and military manipulations are interesting, but you should be watching this show for the action. The name of the game here is inventiveness in action sequences. What I like so much about all the Votoms series is that each story arc sets the battle scenes in different environments. This particular incarnation of Votoms demonstrates that concept perfectly. Palisen Files has not only some of the most realistic mecha battles, it also has some of the most complex battles, with each episode utilizing the setting and terrain in unique ways. I'd call Palisen Files as close to realism as mecha can get.
