In A.D. 2031, humans are enjoying a prosperous existence until strange life forms called Hardians appear. They suddenly begin to multiply and assault the human population. As a countermeasure, mankind organizes the N.I.D.F. to investigate the Hardians and protect themselves.
A fighter pilot,Aiba Shuu, begins to become involved in the battle against the lifeforms.Rukina Yuno, one of Earth's foremost scientists, investigates the Hardians and hears rumors about the "Book of a Dead Man". What is the secret of this tome, and what relation does it have to the Hardians?
Now, the fight for mankind's survival begins.

Note: Because of problems the production of this series was rebooted and the initially appointed director,Nagaoka Yasuchika, quit the project for a short time before its start. This resulted in a poor production heavily scorned by viewers. A planned DVD release for 2007 was indefinitely delayed. Instead a revised edition, which fixed bad animation, errors and added new scenes and was originally to be released on DVD - a common practice for anime releases, was re-broadcast on several TV stations starting first April 27, 2008 and ending first October 19, 2008 on AT-X. This new version was subsequently titledKiss Dum R: Engage Planet. Additionally this re-broadcast skipped the original episode 26 and added a completely new episode 26 instead.

Kiss Dum is surprisingly outstanding: there is a plot with a good pace that will capture you till the end, there are fights and twisted events, there is love and hate! It's definitely a must see!!!

Unplanned hero, mysterious enemies, fight for survival,a bit romance in battlefield and weapons that talk back. This series has lots of ingredients for a good action anime. Although it has some 'flaws' and 'holes' in the story, it still has good character development and some scene really move me. It also supported by good OP and ED music.

i don't know why this anime doesn't have a review yet, but i'm proud to be the one that tells u that this anime is epic. for all kind off fans, the action, the fights are awesome. it has a great plot about humans vs aliens, the music its great and the characters have good development.
I wish i could say in only a few words that this anime is one of the best i've ever seen. With SF and a litlle romance on top, you will not waste your time i promise
