It often contains a lot of shooting, explosions and fighting.,mechaMecha in Japanese basically means mechanical things; everything from an electric whisk or a car to a spaceship or a robot. Here however we limit it to the more exotic things usually referred to as mecha anime: robots, whether controlled by a human or not, and their ilk.,newNot based on anything, the story is a new work, usually made up by the people involved in creating the anime. Generally if an original work (原作) credit is given, it will be to the studio, or director, or other members of the production team.,piloted robotPiloted Robots are, as the name suggests, robots that cannot control themselves; they need to be steered from somewhere, this can be from a human sitting inside or a remote controlled option.,science fictionScience fiction stories usually focus on how situations could be different in the future when we are more technologically advanced; due to either our own achievements or having met with other civilizations whom we have learned from.,short episodesShort episodes are regular episodes that are much shorter than the standard length. This means up to and including 10 minutes; shows with episodes that are 11 to 20 minutes in length are half-length episodes instead. Animation:
Well first of all the animations and the movements of the Mobile suits are well done. Some new or modified models from the original Gundam Seed are present. The effect are of good quality and the devlopers made their best to make these OVA's as good as possible.

Sound:
The overal sound effects are compaireble to those used in Gundam Seed. However the short musical action scenes are short and so not much is headed on that field.

Story:
The story is actualy disapointing. When watching the first file you will soon notice that there is a mistake made in the presumtions of the characters concerning the weaponary of ZAFT durring the first war (beam weapons to be more exact).
Also concerning the story: It takes place after the war (presumably). Even if the need of a correct opening story isn't needed to tell what is happening in these episodes (some simularities extist with other Gundam series), the end of the episodes is extremly disapointing. Especialy the 2nd episode has an abrupt ending leaving you in the dark as for what is happening next.
But the story clearly shows the chaos after the war and how old enemies work together to find a way to make a profit in this world in order to survive.

Characters:
The characters are composed of Naturals and Coordinators of course. Like i said they work together to get it somewhat better in life. Since these OVA's are too short to get a proper insight of the characters and their convictions it is hard to form an opinion on them.

Value:
The 2 OVA's have no actual value to the end of Gundam Seed and i doubt that it will be correcly placed in the storyline when the Destiny serie arieves. The value of these could have been higher if more of these OVA's where released to complete the story a bit.

Enjoyment:
I did enjoy these as a fan of the Gundam series but was disapointed from the quality of the images. When getting these you should concider watching the higher rated.
