Its really all about the ramen

There isn't really much plot here. Each episode just shows you Koizumi searching for a new ramen place, and a cycle between the other characters. The jokes also gets repetitive real fast.

But yea! Its really about the ramen if you are watching this. Each style of ramen are meticulously detailed from ingredients to cooking style to the history of it. The animation and art of the ramen is slurpyiciously making me hungry just by looking at it. And some of the recommended shops are real life shops too, so if you are in Tokyo or Japan - it might be a good watch to pick up idea where to slurp on.

It's really for the fans particularly ramen fans (I know I am). 6/10 for me... and I gotta go find that shop in Asakusa

For fans of food anime.

The animation and the information about the food is the best part of this anime. So watch it best when you're not hungry or you will have the urge to eat some ramen as well since it looks so yummy. Also it's good if you have a big stomach since you might feel slightly ill after seeing them eat the masses of food.

You might also like it if you want to see girls slurping noodles, moaning, having ecstatic looks on their faces - it might remind you of some hentai. Well.. it's food porn.

Other than that the main characters are kind of annoying and the anime is more on the boring side.

An occasionally nice standoffish bitch, an obnoxiously stupid stalker, and their pseudo friends take turns eating all sorts of different ramen. None of the characters are likable. They're all ridiculously shallow. There is zero character development. The Slice of Life aspects are boring, the Girls Being Girls antics is minimal, the comedy is utterly flat. So why would you bother watching this show? Because it showcases a ton of different kinds of ramen, which is pretty cool. And if you're into it, you get to see a bunch of 'cute' high school girls slurping noodles while making occasional moaning noises and getting flushed in the face. For fans. The ramen IS cool. But you have to be able to stomach the taste testers too.
