Ginko stumbles upon a young girl in a mountain with branches and leaves growing out of her body. He later realizes that she is the lord of that mountain but finds it strange that a human like her was chosen as the lord. He later meets her older brother who has continued to search for her ever since she disappeared while she was accompanying him on a stormy day. The story is about that girl,Kaya, and how she is torn between continuing her duty as aMushi lord and returning back to her loving human family.

An incredible finale to one of the best episodic anime out there. If serenity was an anime, it would almost definitely be mushishi!

The most calm and deep anime about the relationship between spirits and people that I saw. This is just superb anime.

I ran away from this series for a long time because I thought it will be boring life stories about normal humans. They are unusual life stories about humans and they are told through a beautiful voice. If you enjoyed the series the movie doesn't fall short. Everything that is the magic of Mushishi you will encounter here. Another amazing story from this amazing author.

Normally with anime you see some sort of degradation in terms of quality over the course of multiple seasons. This is one of the very few shows that I can think of that has kept its quality over its entire lifespan. While this may be the last episode, I believe that Mushishi will still earn its place among the industry's greatest.

Well, you get what you expect from Mushishi, so no need to repeat that. It felt like a single episode stretched into a 40 minute movie. Must see for every Mushishi fan. Relaxing and sad. This movie covers the final chapter of the manga. I hoped for more stories, though. Farewell, Ginko.
