TagscomedyAnime whose central struggle causes hilarious results. These stories are built upon funny characters, situations and events. A comedy anime is laced with humour and sets out to provoke laughter from the audience.Japanese humour can be a bit strange to westerners, so if you`re new to this type of humour, just bear with it; it`ll most likely grow on you if you`re a fan of other kinds of comedy.,mangaManga is the lifeblood that drives the anime industry. Everything and its mother is based on manga. However! There are exceptions where the manga was not the basis for the anime.See also manhua and manhwa.,school lifeSince a large part of the anime audience still takes part in school life or is visiting college, it is only natural to choose a setting the audience can identify with, be it elementary, middle, or high school. For the older viewers a college setting with more mature real-life problems is appropriate. And since clubs take up so much time in the lives of students, these are obviously also important.,shounenIn the context of manga and associated media, shounen, literally meaning "youth" and often also specifically "boy", refers to a male audience roughly between the ages of 10 and 18. -[similar]

The setting in both anime are about a meritocratic school, where a school gives different sets of priviledges (and punishments) according to the grades the students get and the class they are at. Both anime feature an ensemble cast where they're put in the worst class, where they must work hard in order to get to a better class, but not without its hardships.

Very interesting anime that caught me off guard right from episode 1.
It's super entertaining the entire time.

A weird entry in the "unconventional teacher" genre. And the teachers are definitely great, as are the students. However, practically every other character is written extremely lazily. Luckily, most of the time is spent at school with the main cast, so it doesn't drag the show down too much.

The strength of the series lies in the odd but very entertaining and wonderfully anime-esque premise and if you think it sounds fun, you'll absolutely find some fun here. Probably hits harder emotionally if you haven't seen any major "great oddball teacher" stories before, but I still had a great time and it lays the groundwork for the even better second and final season.

It has it all - decent plot, unveiling story, action, comedy, some character development, bit of romance and some more. Its easy to start and binge it in one go feeling satisfied at the end which lot of newer anime fall short. Since series incorporate many genre aspects it wont be best for each, but overall series are what everyone can gen into and enjoy.

Excellent series. Userrudimentary's recommendation is dead on balls accurate in their assessment of what makes this show special.

In fact, their recommendation clarified for me, for the first time, the difference between the worthless fucks I had for teachers and the ones who made a difference in my life. I'm quotingrudimentary because their observation bears repeating, and cuts not only to the heart of teaching, but to the heart ofall relationships.

Until you are no longer ego-driven, until you are truly accountable, you aren't worth fuck to anybody.

'In our society most people who become teachers are not strong people. Weak people tend to be petty, have subtle resentments that unknowingly steer us in the wrong direction, and actually don't have much to teach us.

This anime is more like those fighting animes, where in a dojo a pupil is tutored by a great martial arts master.'
